Choosing an RSVP mode
Knotful for Couples offers three RSVP modes. Pick the one that fits your event style.
Public RSVP
Anyone with the link can submit an RSVP. This is the simplest and friendliest mode — perfect if you trust your guest list and don't want to send personalized links. We rate-limit submissions per IP to prevent spam.
Best for: Casual weddings, family gatherings, smaller events.
PIN-protected RSVP
Guests enter a shared PIN code that you set. The PIN is included in your invitations or save-the-dates. Without the PIN, RSVPs are blocked.
Best for: Weddings where you want a light barrier against random submissions, but don't need per-guest tracking.
Token-based RSVP
Each guest gets a unique RSVP link from their guest list entry. The link is personalized and tracks who responded. Guests can update their response by re-using their link.
Best for: Formal events where you want to know exactly who replied, prevent duplicate or fraudulent RSVPs, and track party size and dietary preferences per household.
Switching modes
You can switch RSVP modes anytime from the Settings tab in your portal. Existing RSVPs are preserved when you switch.
